Are you a licensed Class A contractor?
Yes. Sun Painting holds a Virginia Class A contractor license, is bonded and insured, and is a certified SWaM (Small, Women and Minority-Owned) business with the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity.
What services do you self-perform beyond painting?
Drywall and framing, carpentry and wood repair, caulking and sealants, exterior restoration, acoustic ceilings, floor and wall coatings, waterproofing, intumescent fireproofing and light tenant improvement work. See Services.
Can you bid from plans and specs?
Yes. Send drawings, specifications and the bid due date through the Request a Bid form or by email and we will return an itemized proposal.
Do you work in occupied facilities?
Regularly. Hospitals, schools, offices and apartment communities. We provide site-specific plans covering containment, odor control, scheduling and communication with your staff and tenants.
Do you offer maintenance repainting programs?
Yes. Multi-year repainting schedules for property portfolios, campuses and healthcare systems that keep facilities looking new and budgets predictable.
What is your safety record?
Safety is a core part of how we operate. Our EMR, OSHA logs and safety manual are available for prequalification. See Safety.
What area do you cover?
Two offices: Charlottesville and Richmond. That covers Albemarle County, the Richmond metro area and the corridor between them, and commercial work takes us throughout Virginia. See Service Area.
Do you still do residential painting?
Yes. Interior, exterior and cabinet painting for homeowners who expect the same professionalism. See Residential.
Where do I view my estimate or sign a proposal?
In the customer portal at estimating.sunpaintingva.com. Your estimator will send a login link with your proposal.
How do I pay an invoice?
Online at estimating.sunpaintingva.com/payment, or by check to our office.
How do I become a subcontractor?
Fill out the subcontractor form on the Careers page and upload a W-9. Current subs use the Subcontractor Portal.
